Carriage Room
Smaller Rooms for Single Occupancy
The Hardiman was built in 1845 by the Great Western Railway Company and opened in August 1854 as one of the first railway hotels in Ireland. It is adjacent to Galway train station. Due the layout and original design of this historic building, we have a handful of smaller Victorian style rooms with smaller double beds suitable for single occupancy. These Carriage rooms present a great value proposal for the solo traveller or the young couple who dont mind a cosy room, and just want to stay in a historic hotel in Eyre Square and drop the bags and explore the city of the tribes.
Our Carriage Rooms can accommodate 1 to 2 guests.
Featuring a 4ft wide double bed (6ft long), our Carriage room is approximately 16m2 / 172sqft with an ensuite bathroom and shower as opposed to bath. The Carriage room is positioned in the centre of the hotel and does not Eyre square views
All hotel rooms are equipped with complimentary wi-fi, flat screen TV and in room amenities.
